The Imperfection Of My Perfection

Hold up a mirror to your face and tell me what you see
Is the image reflected of who you want to be?
Round and round life whirls for all to see
And still I do not see who I want to be

To be perfect is an ideal that I hold to be true
A perfect picture for me to share with you
Smiles, laughs and cheerful joy all around
Yet still in all the festivities I still feel bound

An imperfect deed thought or word
Perfection is my goal, a goal preferred
By now I know that you have heard
That the picture of perfection is now verb

The action of my life is now telling the story
All the things in my life now give forth the glory
A perfect place of peace
Imperfection is the release
All things start and end
The question is when

Imperfection is the caterpillar and perfection is the butterfly
Life always asks why? why? why?
To be imperfect pushes life like a shove
To bring you into your eternal love
