Acceptance or Control: It's Your Choice

I greet you in the love of the One Infinite Creator. We all know what it's like to live in this life and face difficult circumstances and hardships. We all know what it feels like to get our heart broken or even feel the physical pain of abuse or dis-ease. These things happen to us sometimes out of the blue when we are least expecting it. Also, these hardships happen to us because of consequences of actions previously taken. These consequences lead to the hardships and suffering that we now face.

With these factors facing us in our daily lives, how are we to fend off the feeling of discomfort and pain? How do we live in all of this sorrow and misery and not be taken under by the weight of the burden? We can just look around us and see the starving people. We can look at the uneducated children who will be exploited because of their poverty. We can look at the massive changes in the planet and see people from all walks of life suffering in one way or the other.

All of these things are part of the set up of this thing we call living. Coming into this world we were born into circumstances and situations that are already set up and waiting for us to interact with, such as the outlook of your parents, the environment you grew up in, and the influences that were around you as a child. These things all had their set up before you were here. All of these circumstances were meant to be in your life at this time and at this place. All of them were waiting for you. Yes, come and add your input and make those situations and circumstances different.

How you make those things different is totally up to you and your free will. We all have a choice to make in this lifetime. Are we going to live our lives in the manner of acceptance or are we going to live our lives in the manner of control. What is the difference between acceptance and control? Acceptance means to receive what is offered with satisfaction or acquiescence (agreement). How do you accept something that you do not agree with? That is where control comes into the picture.

What is the meaning of control? Control means the power or authority to check or restrain. When we try and control something we are really trying to restrain or hold back a particular thing. This may seem on the surface to be a correct assumption. If I want something not to happen to me such as poverty, then I will make sure that I get an education and a job so I can have money in order to avoid poverty. We are trying to control our circumstances. How does control serve your purpose in trying to create an ideal condition in your life?

Picture if you will a free moving river. This river is young and has great vigor, water rushing downstream to join the other streams and rivers, all going back to the ocean. You and me, all of us, are in this stream of life, and we are all rushing, finding our way back to the ocean of life that we call GOD, the Creator, the Universe. Water is free flowing and conforms to the material that is flows over. Water not only flows over materials but it creeps into the crevasses and flaws. If there is a place to go then water will make it there. Water not only conforms to the surface in which it flows over, but also it alters the surface to the current and flow of the water.

In tumbling down this current of life, experiencing all the wonders of incarnation into the world of form, shapes and sounds, we all are faced with the choice of (how we want this ride to go. Do we want a smooth and easy flowing ride, or do we want a rocky, hard and brutal lesson in traveling downstream? Whichever way we decide to navigate down this stream is up to us. In the end, we will all reach the ocean, which is our eternal destination of love and light.

The way of acceptance to life is not a way of agreeing with every situation. It is the mere knowledge of the cause and effect of each and every situation. Know that the way of acceptance is allowing the situation or circumstance to be what it is going to be. If there are things in your life that you want to change or if there is suffering in the world you want to change, then by all means go and change it. That is the purpose of your experience. The purpose of having feelings and emotions is to access information about yourself and how you react to these feelings and emotions. Do what feels good to your heart. If you see suffering and your heart tells you to help, then you help.

The way of control is judging the situation to be either negative or positive. (Not stating your opinion about how you feel because of your experiences, but trying to change the situation to the way you think it should go in relation to what you think right and wrong is.) This is not the same as acceptance because when you accept and try and change something like poverty, you do what you can for the person or people, by providing food. You do not curse them for being in that position. You do what needs to be done through the love of your heart.

When we try and control something or someone, we are trying to hinder the free will of someone else. Free will is one of the main principles in our experience of creating this life we are living. We do not know the purpose and the will of other entities having this experience of life. That is not for us to judge. We all have the choice to create whatever situations and life’s circumstances we want, no matter if we are conscious or unconscious of the actions we take. We are all creators of our realities.

In life, all roads lead back to love and unity. No matter what road we decide to take, or what river we decide to flow down, we are all on our own path. We can go the route of acceptance, which will help ease the sting of burdens and sufferings, or we can choose the path of control, which will take us through the process of making a caterpillar into a butterfly. The process of transformation is a process that works in whichever way you choose to apply it. We can transform our ideas about ourselves and life through acceptance or through control. Both will lead us to the understanding that we are all one and love is the action that unifies us.

Be like the stream that never ceases to flow, and explore the places of the deep. Water goes to the highest summit and also dives to the deepest depths. Let your experiences flow in your daily lives just like the river flows. If something comes along and upsets you or throws you off your good mood, it’s okay. Acceptance first starts with you. Accept that you feel angry and mad. Accept that this is not how you want to feel. Accept that this feeling will pass. Like the water flows, feelings and emotions will flow to and fro in the hearts of men.

In waking up in the morning, affirm your daily routine and how you want to feel today. Affirm that you accept yourself and all that comes in today's experiences. Accept what you can change and accept what you can’t change. Know that both acceptance and control are both two sides of the same coin, and that coin will purchase the knowledge of your divinity and your immortality as Creator.

With the energy of love I send out vibes of peace, joy and happiness to all who dwell on this planet, seen and unseen.

Blessings.
