Accepting What You Can't Control

Welcome, feel the love and warmth of the one Infinite Creator. I send you love and light

Walking through this garden of variety and wonder, I sense there is a dis-ease in my aura. There is something that is nagging at me, pulling on my coat tail, making me always look down instead of looking in front of me. This feeling I can’t shake, so powerful, so intense, it reaches into the farthest regions of my mind, body and spirit.

What is this feeling? Why does it persist? Why is it such a powerful energy? What does it mean to have strong feelings for things that are out of my control? How do I manage these feelings? If I am one with the Creator, then how can I feel anger, let down and frustration?

These questions are at the heart of this feeling that I have. Every time this feeling comes around it makes me upset at the world. Mad at the many distortions and pains that people go through in their lives. A lot of times these pains and struggles are always present in my reality. I just don’t see them until they reach home and affect me personally.

This feeling that I’m talking about is the feeling of anger and disappointment when I realize I can't control everything. Acceptance means the act of accepting; a receiving what is offered, favorable reception; approval; as, the acceptance of a gift. This gift of acceptance is the best pre-sent that you can give or send to anyone.

These feelings of frustration are the natural outcropping of acceptance in a world full of free will and desires. Each of us are spirits living this experience of being human. We are endowed by our birthright with the power to create. Not only create but create according to our will. Our wills are birthed from our desires and our desires are birthed from our experiences living these lives. No two people are alike; everyone has their mission and purpose.

That is why non-judgment is so important on the path of Self Discovery. There are questions that we have, that no matter how much we try, we will not know the answers until the intended time. Until that point we have to know that we are all here to do something or do nothing. The choice is unique and different for each person. The path of love helps you love everyone in this chaos of creation. Through love you can love a person no matter what choice they make.

That brings me to the point of accepting what you can’t control. There are times when things really hit home for each and every one of us. No matter how spiritually advanced we are or how much knowledge we have, we all go through life and have to deal with all of its many aspects. One part that is common is anger and disappointment. When on the path of love and acceptance, these emotions can come up to the forefront and present themselves to you as you contemplate a situation through love and acceptance.

As you get in touch with who you are and your limitless potential, you want to spread the good word and let everyone know what you have found out. This is usually the time when you are on your path and you have a realization or knowing that you are one with the Creator and that all paths lead to love. You know that we are all one; living in the web of energy we call life.

From this point of knowing you begin to accept the light and the dark, the good and the bad, the right and the wrong, because you know deep down that these are just two sides of the same coin. You realize that we all have free will to find and discover who we really are. We can discover our true nature by experiencing what it is or what is isn’t. We can know the light through walking in the light, or we can know the light as an absence of light (know as darkness). You know that both paths are okay and that positive and negative are two flags at the opposite ends of the same pole.

This realization brings boundless energy and inspiration to your knowing and intuition. This can lead you to transform your life in ways you have never dreamed about. This knowing can bring you to a place of experiencing everyone else as extension of yourself. This is a freeing and beautiful feeling. This feeling has the potential to bring us to a positive or negative reaction. One negative or non-desired reaction can come in the form of anger and disappointment.

When you know that you know that we are all one, then you see the potential and light in everyone else, and understand that they also have power over their own lives. You intuitively know that they have the power and potential to create the life of their dreams. They have the power, just like you have the power. The thing that brings the anger and disappointment to you is when they use this power and do not know they you have the power. They depend on someone else for their power, therefore seeding their power over to the more powerful to exert control.

When someone who you know and love does this, it can sometimes get to you and bring you out of the place of knowing what you know, into the place of anger and disappointment. When you go to that place of reaction, it’s not like you fell from grace and no longer know what you know, it’s that you are at that time and place identifying with their discord and separation. You actually go there and you identify them not with who you know they are but who they are appearing to be, (character or role).

Always in life, especially dealing with other people and other wills, you should look to them as you look to yourself, as an extension of the one Creator, living these lives of experience in order to better know yourself as Creator. Sometimes we don’t always take the easy road or the lighted path. Sometimes we want to take and adventure and go to those dark places and see what it is really about.

We are all in a cosmic game of hide and seek. We hide and then we seek to find where we have hidden. As you came into this reality as a new born baby, you hide a part of yourself from yourself. You have placed a gem of invaluable value in the center of your heart. In this cosmic game, you can’t just hide it and go and find it because you are the Creator and you know where you have hidden the gem as soon as you hide it.

In contemplation you/we decided to place many blankets or coverings over this gem and called these coverings experiences, consciousness, matter, energy and life, but to name a few. As these coverings or blankets began to pile on, we could not see where we hide the gem anymore. Now the gem which is a part of us/you hiding looks up to the light coming in through the coverings. This looking up is what we call spirituality.

Acceptance of what you can’t control is looking at all the blankets and coverings and seeing them for what they really are. They are tools that we use to cover up who we really are in order to know who we aren’t. By learning what you don’t want, you will arrive at a place of knowing what you do want. Exploring life from the point of separation is one way to explore life. Just because it’s not the path I would choose does not mean it’s not the path for someone else.

In the end, loving unconditionally can sometimes bring you back to the point of separation and discord, which will happen from time to time, especially if the people going through the struggle are close to your heart. Just bring yourself back to your center, back to your place of peace and love. Then you will see that all paths lead to love, and no one is lost forever. Accept and know that no matter what path you choose, that path will eventually lead you to know yourself.

Love and Blessings,
