Everyone on this Earth has someone, or something that they love. Love is what most people seek out in their relationships and is the driving force for any parent with kids to raise. Love is the essential ingredient in any prosperous relationship. But why? Why is love so important to us and why do we go to amazing lengths sometimes to obtain love from another person. Living on Earth we humans need a lot of things to survive and flourish. The main connection that we need to survive above all else is air to breath. Without air we will not be able to continue our existence in the human form and will pass on to the next dimension of life. Love is to our spirit or soul as air is to our bodies. When we are living at a place of love, compassion, peace and harmony, we are then living on the level of love. This level of living is not so much any different than we are living right now. Now we are going about our day getting ready for work and thinking about all the things we have to get done in our daily lives. With all of the actions we have to take everyday, how much do we think in the middle of our running around, am I doing this action for love? The answer might surprise you when you look at what you are doing.
At first you will look at what you are doing right now and say, no I’m doing my work at my desk or I’m on the subway getting ready for work, or I’m getting the kids ready for school. Each of these examples on their face does not look like you are doing it for love, but on a deeper level, why are you going to work, or getting the kids ready for school? The answer lies deep inside the core of your being. At the core, you are love. At the core all you want to experience is love.
We do the best we can in life for those who depend on us, who rely on us to survive. This is what we know of as doing what you have to do to survive. You will go to any lengths to see to it that your children have food to eat and a place to lay their heads at night. When you can not do this as a parent, you feel inadequate or like a bad parent. This driving force that we know of an instinctual love is really the force behind all of creation. The very act of thinking about the needs and wants of your child is the same act that our creator thought when he thought about creation and experiencing that creation. When you look into the eyes of your child having fun when they are babies, you think about their future, how to properly raise them or how much money are they going to need for college and a thousand more thoughts come into your head as you are contemplating their future.
All of these thoughts are different in manner and descriptions but they all come from a place of wanting that child to survive and not only survive but to be happy and be loved. This main thought or sponsoring thought is the basis for all of your other thoughts and actions of raising that child. Now some people express themselves and their love differently and in different manners but they all share the same sponsoring thought which is LOVE. This love or way of thinking about every subject concerning that child is the same way of thinking we have to have for every child, man, women, animal, plant, mineral and all of the manifestations we have here on earth. It is through this way of thinking that we will be able to see the world exactly like we see raising our children.
Through the eyes of understanding and the ears of compassion. Just making the conscious choice, to be aware of how we are thinking and acting towards other people, will be the tool that will enable us to see where we are not acting in the manner of love and compassion for all. We will know when this is the case when, we can look back on a past action and ask the question, will I take this course of action with my kids or will I want anyone else to take this course of action with my kids. This will keep you grounded and always wanting to do what makes you feel good. When you see the joy and excitement on your child’s face when you surprise them with a gift they always wanted, or when you are laughing and playing make believe, that feeling of joy and lightness is the same feeling you want to experience all of your life.
By doing this you will create a world of love and joy and an awareness of positive energies all around you. You will no longer want to judge or condemn anyone because you will view the situation through the lens of love and compassion. This level of awareness will bring us into seeing the world as through the eyes of a child, not judging and always loving, ready to experience life and learn new things. To always want to have fun and just be alive. This is the place of nirvana or enlightenment. This is the place that this quote is referring to: Matthew 18: verses 2 – 6:
2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name received me.
6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
The kingdom of heaven is a place where we can obtain today, right where we are now. The creator in its infinite perfect plan devised a place of rest for the weary, a place of healing for the sorrowful heart. A place where you can re-create yourself and the way your life is going, a place where you can lay all of your burdens down and pick up the newness of spirit that will wash all of the pain away.
Let this paradise of awareness come into your perception of life and live life through love which we receive through the breath of life. Every inhale is pulling more love into your system of living and every exhale is that love being changed by your heart and spread throughout the universe. Let our life be the spreading of our love to everyone. Amen.
